Aadhaar’s online services are accessible through myAadhaar Portal and mAadhaar App. These platforms offer a suite of convenient features in online mode for Aadhaar Number Holders. Some key services are: Locate Aadhaar Centre: To locate an Aadhaar centre, an individual may visit Bhuvan Aadhaar Portal and search by: location, PIN Code, State-wise Aadhaar Centre or Aadhaar Centre name. The Aadhaar Centres’ locations are tagged in various colours on the basis of the services available at the Aadhaar Centre. Online appointment for Aadhaar Services UIDAI also offers online appointment booking facility for individuals seeking to enrol and update Aadhaar. All Aadhaar centres including ASKs follow the online appointment system, where any individual can book an appointment for Aadhaar enrolment or update services. The appointment can also be booked using mAadhaar App. Check Enrolment/Update Status: To check Aadhaar enrolment or update status, the individual may visit myAadhaar portal, enter their EID / SRN and captcha, then click “Check Status.” The portal will show if Aadhaar is generated, updated, or still in process. The same service is also available on mAadhaar App and Aadhaar Mitra Chat Bot. Download Aadhaar: An Aadhaar holder can download e-Aadhaar using any of the three details: Enrolment Number, Aadhaar Number, or Virtual ID (VID). The login to any of these platforms will be done through OTP verification via the mobile number registered with Aadhaar. Aadhaar number holders can choose from Document-based or Head of Family-based Address Update options. Retrieve EID/UID: In case, the individual has lost his/her Aadhaar & does not remember the Aadhaar number or enrolment ID, he/she can retrieve the lost EID or UID online through myAadhaar portal or mAadhaar App. To know more, click here. Locked Biometrics prevents the use of Biometrics information for authentications. Individuals can Lock/Unlock their biometrics at their convenience by logging in to myAadhaar Portal or mAadhaar App. VID Generator: VID is a temporary, revocable 16-digit random number mapped with the Aadhaar number. VID can be used in lieu of Aadhaar whenever authentication or e-KYC services are performed. Authentication may be performed by using VID. It is not possible to derive Aadhaar number from VID. Offline KYC: Aadhaar Paperless Offline e-KYC is a secure and shareable document which can be used by any Aadhaar holder for offline verification of identity.
